Hey! We’re Kye and Shahron — the duo behind Saanj Winery.
Our story started back in 2015 on our very first date at a wine-tasting room in Woodinville. That day, we fell for two things: each other and the world of winemaking. But as we explored more, one thing stood out — the wine scene often felt exclusive, buttoned-up, and lacking in real representation. It was like if you didn’t “speak wine,” you weren’t invited.
So, we decided to change that.
Fast forward to 2024, and Saanj Winery was born — an inclusive, urban winery in the heart of Seattle, created for everyone. Our wines are vibrant, easy to love, and rooted in community. Whether you’re a connoisseur or just curious, Saanj is a space where you can sip, vibe, and feel at home — no wine snobbery allowed.

What's in a name? for us, everything
Saanj comes from Punjab — a vibrant region in Northern India and Pakistan — and holds deep roots in Shahron’s family story. As a first-gen whose family immigrated in 1984, “Saanj” is more than a word; it has deep metaphorical meaning. In Punjabi, it means “uplifting a community towards a common goal”, and that’s exactly what we’re about.
